The mission of the BWLA is to provide a fun, safe and positive character-building experience for all school-aged boys and girls to learn and experience the game of lacrosse, with an emphasis on inspiring participation, developing fundamental skills, instilling knowledge of the game, and promoting the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, responsibility, and respect for the sport, officials, coaches, teammates, and self.
BWLA believes demonstrating and promoting these values within a competitive program that puts teamwork and learning before individual achievement will develop quality lacrosse players as well as proud members of the Big Walnut community.
The BWLA supports the views of the Positive Coaching Alliance.
Our youth boys' teams are members of the Central Ohio Youth Lacrosse League (COYLL).
